Company 27, Station 11 (Bentleyville), and Medic 1100 (Bentworth EMS) were activated at 01:59 hrs for an MVA car into an embankment, unknown on injuries. Both stations were updated that the nearby residence heard a male inside the vehicle screaming for help. Medic 11 arrived on scene first and advised that there was one car into a utility pole with the driver trapped inside, and the utility pole was sheared. Shortly after Medic 11 arrived on scene all other units arrived and worked together to free the trapped driver. After extrication was complete, the patient was taken to an awaiting ambulance. Crews from both companies set up a landing zone for an incoming medical helicopter. The patient was flown to a Pittsburgh Trauma Center for his injuries by STAT MedEvac #1. All 27 equipment, and personnel returned in service.
